Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
I started in June of 2013.
What is your primary product or service?
Intimate sightseeing and experience tours in the greater Burlington area.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I'm a life long Vermonter who has traveled extensively. As a new phase in my life after early retirement in a corporate career, I wanted to start a local tour business to help showcase our wonderful surroundings in Vermont.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
My tours are intimate - 7 people or less. I try to combine Vermont's natural beauty and sights, along with experience and purchase of Vermont products and my personal knowledge of our area to make a very special tour event for my guests.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
This business is a tour business and does not rely on a business location. My office is in my home in Shelburne, VT.
What type of payments do you accept?
Checks or cash.
Which areas do you service?
Greater Burlington and northern Vermont
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
This is a sole proprietorship.
What are your hours of operation?
Tuesday - Sat - 10 - 4.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
That spending time on a tour with me was worth their money and that they will recommend my tours to their friends or family visiting Vermont.
